Hi All,

Wow. What a week in Portland, eh? It has been beautiful

and it is getting us all fired up to get out and make some

merry music for you all.

After nearly a decade with TapWater, our dear friend

and band mate, Wes Elliott, has opted to dip out.  It has

been quite the journey with Wes. We all feel very lucky

to have gotten to work with such an amazing bass player,

songwriter, and human being. (And mechanic!  If Wes

had a nickel in his pocket for every hour he spent fixing

our touring rigs, we could call him Mr. Bojangles). We

just celebrated with Wes on his birthday two days ago

and have had the pleasure of spending lots of quality

time with him lately. Wes and his partner, Anne Tropeano,

have been extremely instrumental in the evolution

of TapWater and remain supportive forces on our quest.

We are very excited to announce that the one and only,

Arcellus Sykes, will be keeping us on the ground with his

truly gifted skill set on the bass. Believe it or not, he is

even cooler than his name... Aside from being an amazing

bass player and musician, he competes in 50-mile trail

running races and also doubles as a transcriptionist.

People from all over the world hire him to analyze

different types of music, and then notate it into written

charts. Pretty cool. We still can't figure out how we

got so lucky in swooping him up. He is one of the most

versatile and professional bass players in the Northwest.

And he just happens to be really psyched on the project!

Our rehearsals have been wonderful, exciting and ripe

with creative chemistry. Arcellus definitely adds a whole

new flavor to TapWater.

Come check out our first show with him at the

Spring Beer & Wine Festival this Saturday

at the Oregon Convention Center.

We headline Saturday night with a stout set lasting

from 8 to 10:30!

We are also VERY excited to announce a very special

upcoming show at the Mission Theater in Portland.

We will be sharing the stage with an incredible band,

Polecat, on the eve of 420, also known as April 20th.

Polecat has been buzzing their way into the national

spotlight with sold out shows in many different markets.

This will be an early show so plan ahead. Polecat will

start at 8pm and TapWater will finish before midnight.

If you haven't had enough already, check out this

AWESOME video that Stevie Moore whipped up.
